Thanks Ramesh. As a HAM (Anateur Radio Operator) Armstrong is an inventor of many radio related techniques and hero of mine. I would encourage people in this group to become HAMs. This is a great time because the solar cycle is at near its peak and you can make very long distant contacts by bouncing signals of the Ionosphere. Here’s a picture of my current temporary setup while I build my permanent station.
The idea is to learn about radio, frequency, circuits, and propagation. You can also do some radio astronomy with the equipment. Have listened to storms on Jupiter using a home built antenna and downloaded images sent by the Russian cosmonaut on the international space station. You can even bounce signals of the moon to contact farther reaches of the earth.
