Today (July 22) is World Pi (π) Day in the world of mathematics.
Pi Day is a day to celebrate the famous mathematical constant. Pie Day
is celebrated on different days. It is generally celebrated in European
calendars as the widely known approximation of 22/7 July 22/7. March 14th of
each year is considered Pi Day. According to the American calendar, 3/14 is
March 14. This number, or 3.14, is approximate. It is also celebrated on March
14 at 1:59:26. (π = 3.1415926). Einstein's birthday also falls on March 14. π
Day was first celebrated in 1988 at the Exploratory, a science-fiction
laboratory in California. The day was celebrated with a parade of officers and
members of the public around the studio.
At the end of the parade a dish called Pye was served to everyone and
the day was celebrated. The day was introduced by the American physicist Larry
Shaw. The most critical number π appears wherever the circular shape appears.
When ancient man began to see many forms, only the circular shape seemed
strange to him. It can be said that the pie is intertwined with nature as most
materials are found in a circular shape in nature. The surface of cubic shapes
such as spheres, cones, cylinders, etc. is found in capacitive values. Thus the
value of π is used for a myriad of things, such as the period of rotation of the
planets, the duration of a pendulum, the maximum data values, and the
probability values. Today we consider the value of π to be the
approximate value of 3.14 given by Archimedes. The actual value of the number 14
3.14 is set to exactly two decimal places.
