Today (June 26, 1796) is the Memorial Day of the world-famous astronomer David Rittenhouse, who discovered the first telescope.

David Rittenhouse was born on April 8, 1732, into a poor farming family in Paper Mill Run, Pennsylvania, USA. Return house unable to attend school regularly due to family poverty. David Williams learned math and machines from his uncle. He also gave me a box containing some of the books he had and several tools for changing. While doing his craft woodwork, he read countless books on mathematics. He developed a deep knowledge of physics, including the English translation of Newton's Principia, and his proficiency in theory and observational astronomy.

The wise David designed the water plant model at the age of eight. Also, at the age of 17, he first made a wooden clock and then a brass clock. Starting a lab in the father’s field. There he made and sold tall, accurate timepieces. He developed instruments for astronomical research, such as the Zenith Sector and the Telescope. He also manufactured instruments, including parameters, the Metallik Pocket Thermometer, and the Haikrometer. These were very popular in the 1770s and became very popular. Rittenhouse is said to have developed a variety of Compasses and to have developed the Vernier Tracking Compass. To survey the national public lands, the government used the ‘Returnhouse Advanced Direction Tools’ named after him. Due to this, David Rittenhouse was appointed Surveyor of Philadelphia in 1774.

The American Philosophical Society has set up observatories in a few places for astronomical observation. One of these was set up in his native house. He made many of the tools in these stations for himself and other supervisors. His telescope is considered to be the first telescope in the United States. David Rittenhouse assisted in fitting instruments for astronomical observations in other centers as well. He settled permanently in Philadelphia in 1770, setting up another observation post and continued monitoring. David observed the orbits of Mercury, Jupiter, and Uranus, and explored meteors, comets, solar, and lunar eclipses. Through this, he became famous all over the world.

He authored a book, On the Easy Method for Detecting the True Time of the Sons Passing the Meridian. In 1784 he conducted experiments on magnetic force and electricity. He published his first mathematical paper in 1792. Various government posts were looking for him. Various government posts were looking for him. David Rittenhouse, a leading 18th-century astronomer, passed away on June 26, 1796, at the age of 64, in the United States of Pennsylvania at the age of 64.
