Today (June 27, 1958) is the Birthday of the Maria D. Zuber has participated in more than six NASA reconnaissance missions (Moon, Mars, and Mercury).
Maria D. Zuber was born on June 27, 1958, in Pennsylvania, USA. She
holds a bachelor's degree in astronomy and geography from the University of
Pennsylvania. She also holds a bachelor's degree and a doctorate in geophysics
from Brown University. She later worked at Johns Hopkins University. She was
also a research scientist at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in Maryland at
the time. She joined the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1998 as a
teacher. From 2003 to 2012 he was the head of the Department of Earth,
Atmosphere and Astronomy. Super's professional work focused on the structure of
solar planets and continental exploration. She explored the infrastructure of
the planets and their evolution using gravity and monolithic magnitude.
Zuber has been a member of ten NASA reconnaissance projects. These
include the Mars Orbiter, the Dawn Project, and the MESSENGER. Zuber 's
interest in cosmology had been ingrained since his youth. Fertilizing this
interest, he teamed up with former astronaut Sally Irid. Thus the elements of
the Gravity Recovery and Internal Laboratory Project (GRAIL) that attracted the
young student were involved in the study. Names were obtained by competing with
students for the exploration program of two spacecraft, F and Fellow. It was
also announced that these middle school students can apply the knowledge of the
moon gained using the third party tool of the GRAIL program.
Zuber is a research member of the following professional associations.
American Geophysical Union, American Institute for Scientific Development,
American Astronomical Society, Division of Geology, American Astronomical
Society, and American Geological Society. He received the Super NASA Informed
Public Service Medal in 2004. He received a Masters Degree in Information
Science from Brown University in 2008. At the end of the same year he was named
one of the best leaders in the world by Fiona Farrison, a professor of physics
at the California Institute of Technology, by American News and World Report
Magazine. Super and Arison were the first two women to be selected for NASA's
robotic literary projects.
Zuber is Member of the National Science Council. She is also the
Research Vice President of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Here she
is EA in Earth, Atmosphere, and Astronomy. Chriswold also served as professor
of geophysics. Zuber has participated in more than six orbiting missions from NASA,
particularly the Moon, Mars, Mercury, and many other asteroids. Most recently
he has been working as a lead researcher on NASA's Gravity Recovery and
Internal Laboratory program governing the lab.
