The reason why the world is wondering about ISRO today is that it was made possible by our Pollachi-based scientist Annadurai Mayilsamy. The Chandrayaan-1 spacecraft sent under his leadership discovered the possibility of water on the moon and made it known to the world. Thus the view of all countries on the Indian space sector was reversed. Chandrayaan-1 was launched on October 22, 2008, from the Sriharikota Indian Space Base on behalf of ISRO. Myilsamy Annadurai was the project director for this. The Chandrayaan spacecraft discovered possible elements for the presence of water on the moon. The world looked back on this discovery. Following this, the world's gaze turned to the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO). The Mangalyan satellite was successfully launched on the 5th of November in 2003. It successfully entered the orbit of Mars on September 24, 2014. India is proud to be the first country to successfully send a satellite to Mars in its first attempt.
