PSLV C-50 rocket successfully launched into space: ISRO announces launch of elliptical orbit.
The PSLV-C50 rocket was successfully launched today with the CMS-01 communications satellite from the Sathees Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota. The countdown began at 2.41 pm yesterday for the launch of the PSLV-C50 rocket from the 2nd launch pad of the Sathees Tawan Space Center. Following the completion of the 24-hour countdown, the PSLV C50 rocket was successfully launched at 3.41 pm today.
ISRO has suspended rocket launches for the past 11 months due to the spread of the corona virus. The PSLP C49 rocket was launched on the 7th of last month. A total of 9 foreign satellites, including India's EOS-1 satellite, were successfully launched into space on this rocket. The PSLV-C50 rocket carrying the CMS-01 communications sphere was launched today.
The CMS-10 satellite is ISRO's 42nd communications satellite. With this communication satellite, the C-band can be accessed not only in India but also in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep. The communications satellite, which was launched in 2011, was replaced after its expiration date. The lifespan of this satellite is 7 years. The PSLV-C50 rocket is the 22nd rocket in the PSLV series. It is equipped with 6 types of propulsion motors. This is the 77th rocket to be launched into space from Sriharikota.
