Mars' first spacecraft to orbit another planet other than Earth was the Mariner-9 launch day (May 30, 1971).
Mariner 9 is an automated space
exploration satellite launched by NASA on May 30, 1971. It was found to explore Mars. It began circling Mars on November 13, 1971. The first
spacecraft to orbit another planet. Due to a dust storm in the early months,
this could not send clear images. So the computer was scheduled to be sent out
two months later. In 349 days, it took 7,329 photos of the entire surface of
Mars. It filmed river basins, mountain peaks, sleeping volcanoes, earthenware
sites, and icebergs. It also photographed the small moons of Mars. On October
27, 1972, it was deactivated due to fuel exhaustion. It will orbit Mars until
2022. It then enters the atmosphere of Mars.
The Mariner program is an
unmanned aerial spacecraft launched by the United States NASA Observatory to
explore Mars and Friday. The first spacecraft to orbit another planet from
Earth. It was also the first spacecraft to orbit another planet. A total of 10
spacecraft were sent through the program. Only seven of these were successful.
The other three were lost. Mariner 11 and Mariner 12 prepared for the project and were sent to the Voyager program. A total of $ 554 million has been spent on
the Mariner project.
It was sent to Mariner-1 on
Friday, July 22, 1962. But within five minutes of the launch, the explosion
exploded. Mariner-2 was launched on August 27, 1962, in a 3-month mission to
Silver. It was a successful journey. This is the first spacecraft headed to
another planet. Mariner-3 was launched into Mars. But this has been lost. On
March 28, 1964, the Mariner-4 Mars was successfully flown to Mars. It was the
first spacecraft to reach Mars. However, later contacts were not available.
Mariner 5 - Launched Friday, June 14, 1967, In October, the planet went as far
as it could see. The radio waves carried several experimental instruments
to track the orbit of silver. The connection is gone.
Mariner-6, 7 - launched on Mars
on February 24, 1969, and March 27, 1969, respectively. They were directed toward
the central and southern regions of Mars. These too have lost contact.
Mariner-8, 9 - Sent to cover the surface of Mars. Destroyer on Mariner-8
launch. Mariner-9 was launched in May 1971. It became Mars' first satellite. Mars
went into orbit in November 1971 and took pictures of its surface. This is not
currently working. However, it is expected to revolve around Mars until 2022.
Mariner-10 - Launched Friday, November 3, 1973. It then moved away from it and
headed toward Wednesday. It was the first cell to reach a planetary view.
