Today (April 4, 1929) is the anniversary of the German mechanic Carl Friedrich Benz who invented the petrol engine.
Carl Friedrich Benz was born on
November 25, 1844, in the Baden area of Germany to Joseph Wyland and Johann
George Benz. He lost his father in a train accident when he was two years old.
Although he lived in poverty after the loss of his father, his mother gave him
a good education. He passed the mechanical engineering entrance examination at
the age of 15 and graduated at the age of 19. After graduation, he worked in
many companies. Back then Benz's focus was on how to operate a bicycle and a
horse-drawn carriage without manpower. He had to switch to various training
institutes. Balak also worked for a while in construction and iron factories. On July 20, 1872, He married Bertha Ringer and fathered 5 children.
In 1871, at the age of 27, he
co-founded the Iron and Mechanical Workshop in Menkeim with the Augustan
Irritator. He is survived by his wife, Bertha Benz, and several researchers
in his own factory. He first designed and patented the two-stroke engine in
1879. He later patented a speedometer, a spark plug, a carburettor, a clutch, a
gear shift, and a water radiator.
In 1883 he co-founded the Benz
& Company Rheinische Gasmotoren-Fabrik with Benz & Cie as Benz &
Cie. Its success The introduction of the modern four-stroke engine was
introduced in 1885 as the Benz Licensed Motor Wagon. This is the first
fuel-powered self-propelled vehicle to be introduced. Between 1886-and 1893 25
‘motor wagons’ were produced.
The Benzoom Symphony Company,
which had 50 workers in 1889, was large in 1899 with 430 workers. In
1893, Carl Benz developed the Victoria, a 2.2 kW two-passenger vehicle. Its top
speed is about 18 km / h. The Benzin Velo competed in the world's first motor
race in Paris in 1894, running 127 km in 10 hours and 01st and finishing 14th.
In 1895, Benz designed the world's first freight car. A year later he received
a patent for his flat engine. In 1903 his sons Eugene and Richard Benz & C
left the company. Richard, however, rejoined the following year. In the same
year, it sold nearly 3840 vehicles and became the world's leading automaker.
The Blitzsen Bench was
manufactured in 1909 with a capacity of 150 kilowatts (200 horsepower). In the
same year, on November 9, 1909, in France, he set a new world record of 226.91
km / h. No vehicle has surpassed this in the following decade. Carl Benz,
director of Benz & Cie., Plans to start a new company. Thus he and his wife
and sons moved to C about 10 km from Mannheim. He started a company called Benz
Sone in 1906. This is Benz & C. Is a company not under the management of?
In 1912 c. Benz gave all his shares in Sone to his sons-in-law, Eugene and
Richard. However, Benz & Cie continued in the management position of the
company.
In 1914, on Benz's 70th birthday,
he was awarded an honorary doctorate by the University of Carluccio. After World
War I, Germany's economy plummeted. Due to this Benz & c. The company
suffered a loss. Therefore d. M. Thiamler-Benz in partnership with a motor
vehicle manufacturer called G. Carl Benz was a member of its board of directors
until his death. DMG's famous 1902 release of the Mercedes-35hp Became known as
the Mercedes-Benz (Mercedes-Benz). This later became its trade name. The
introduction of the diesel-powered freighter in 1927 was a milestone in vehicle
production. Carl Friedrich Benz, the inventor of the gasoline machine, died on
April 4, 1929, at the age of 84 in Lautenberg due to bronchitis.
